While your dog attends daycare at Uptown Dogs, our trainers work one-on-one with them during scheduled 30-minute sessions — designed for maximum focus and retention.
Focused Sessions
Thirty minutes is intentional — most dogs learn best in short, focused bursts. Longer sessions can lead to boredom or overwhelm and reduce retention.
Session Summaries
After every session, you'll receive a brief summary: what we practiced, how your dog responded, and clear instructions for supporting the behavior at home.
Real Progress
Each session is thoughtfully paced and designed to build both skill and emotional regulation. You stay informed. Your dog builds real progress.
Most families enroll in our structured 3-Week Day Training Intensive, designed to create measurable progress through repetition and consistency.

Will my dog still participate in daycare?
Yes. Training sessions are layered into your dog's day with intentional pacing to prevent overwhelm.
Why do you only train for 30 minutes at a time?
Most dogs learn best in short, focused sessions. After about 30 minutes, many dogs become bored or overstimulated, which can reduce retention. Keeping sessions concise helps maximize learning, clarity, and long-term progress.
What happens after the three weeks is up?
At the end of the program, you and your trainer will review your dog's progress and discuss next steps. If another round of day training would be beneficial, we'll outline a clear plan. If your dog is ready to transition, we'll guide you toward the best continuation option.
Is this a replacement for private training?
Not always. Some dogs may benefit from in-home support, which we'll discuss during your consult.
